U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Thursday.

The two discussed the latest situation on the battlefield and the United States’ steadfast support to Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia’s brutal attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure.

The Secretary expressed his concern for the thousands of Ukrainians impacted by the recent destruction of the Kakhovka dam, offering further U.S. support for those affected. They also discussed the Foreign Minister’s recent trip to Africa.

Also, in similar development, Blinken spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Secretary and Prime Minister discussed areas of mutual interest, including expanding and deepening Israel’s integration into the Middle East through normalization with countries in the region.

The Secretary discussed the need to uphold the commitments made at regional meetings in Aqaba and Sharm El Sheikh to avoid measures that undermine the prospects for a two-state solution.

He also discussed broader regional challenges, such as the threat posed by Iran, and underscored the United States’ ironclad commitment to Israel’s security and our 75-year-old partnership.
