Miss Afsoh Boluwatife Anifowoshe has urged students to embrace discipline, hard work and proper preparation for academic and personal success.

Anifowoshe spoke during the 2025/2026 One-Day Principal leadership grooming exercise at Ansar-Ud-Deen Girls’ High School.

She described the event as memorable and appreciated the school management, parents and teachers for supporting students’ development.

According to her, students must remain focused on academic excellence and moral growth to become responsible future leaders.

“Prior Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance,” she said.

Anifowoshe advised students to remain respectful, honest, disciplined and hardworking while avoiding bad habits and negative peer influence.

She noted that decisions made by students today would determine their future, stressing that good character remained essential for success.

The Principal, Mrs Sherifat Mohammed, said the initiative was designed to provide practical leadership training for students.

Mohammed said the programme develops confidence, communication skills, decision-making ability and leadership capacity among students.

She said the initiative also exposes students to responsibilities and challenges associated with school administration.

“Today’s students are tomorrow’s principals, professionals, policymakers and community leaders,” she said.

Mohammed reaffirmed the school’s commitment to promoting integrity, character and visionary leadership through practical learning experiences.

She appreciated parents, teachers and media practitioners for supporting positive educational development.

Projects commissioned included a solar power system, renovated library, mosque and newly established e-learning library.

The event also celebrated the contributions of Boluwatife’s parents toward her upbringing, academic excellence and leadership qualities.

Her father, Mr Anifowoshe Rasaq Olatunbosun, appreciated the school management for promoting discipline, academic excellence and leadership development.

He described the achievement as evidence of intentional parenting, quality education and moral guidance.

Her mother, Engr. Rasheedat Adebisi Anifowoshe, described her daughter’s emergence as One-Day Principal as rewarding and inspiring.

She said Boluwatife had consistently demonstrated leadership, brilliance, confidence and responsibility at home and in school.

The parents encouraged families to invest in children’s education, character development and overall wellbeing.

Dignitaries at the event included Alhaja Ogunjimi Munirat Omorinsola and Alhaja Folashade I. King.

Others included Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Orukotan Charles, alumni members, parents, students and community stakeholders.
