CAF releases dates for 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON

Cairo, Egypt – The dates for the 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), to be held in Egypt, have been confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The dates are between 19 and 26 October, 2024, in the coastal city of Hurghada, Egypt.

A total of eight teams, including hosts Egypt, will compete in the sixth edition of the tournament.

The countries are Morocco, Tanzania, Ghana, Mauritania, Mozambique, Malawi, and Senegal, who all secured a spot in the finals following tough qualifiers across the continent.

Qualifiers Results

For the finals, the participating teams will be divided into two groups, each comprising four teams.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the ultimate goal of securing the championship title.

Situated by the Red Sea, Hurghada is renowned for its stunning beaches and is a popular tourist destination. This marks the second occasion that Egypt will host the Beach Soccer AFCON, following the 2018 edition held in Charm-El Sheikh.

The CAF media outlet said the championship promises to be another exhilarating tournament, drawing attention from beach soccer enthusiasts and fans of the participating nations alike.
