Former vice president Atiku Abubakar, who turned 78 today, has been felicitated by a socio-political group, The Collective Movement (TCM), calling on him to run in 2027 as he is the only hope of Nigeria for an authentic change.
Wishing Atiku the best birthday celebration, the group described him as a beacon of hope to the people of Nigeria, a team leader who had helped to encourage and support many to achieve their dreams in all spheres of life.
“His Excellency Atiku Abubakar is accepted across the board as a national treasure, nation builder, and experienced leader.
‘’He is a bridge across the nation and the only candidate to unite Nigeria. He’s loved by all and a nightmare to the elite. The lion of Jada who rose from grace to greatness. Atiku loves his country and all people with all his heart bearing no hate toward tribes.
“He loves education and has awarded thousands of scholarships to numerous others regardless of tribe and state of origin or religion.
‘’He is the only person who knows what it means to be poor and rich, having experienced both,’’ High Chief Franklin Ekechukwu, the founder of TCM said in a statement on Monday.
The statement was signed by Mr. Edwin Nwachukwu, the group’s Director of Media.
Ekechukwu noted that Atiku’s recent powerful advice to the current administration indicated his passion and love for a better Nigeria
TCM founder, however, stated that Atiku Abubakar who has hinted at his intention for 2027, urged Peter Obi to make his intention known for a joint ticket with Atiku. He also urged other party leaders and well-meaning Nigerians to join Atiku to rescue Nigeria and the downtrodden in 2027.
He added that the Labour Party Presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections remained a force in the hearts of millions of Nigerians as a mentor and leader whose combination with Atiku can help to salvage the nation.
“Both Atiku Abubakar and Peter are experienced businessmen and successful politicians with many victories won through their bravery and resilience.
The TCM appealed to Obi not to abandon a mission he once shared because of some arrogant and selfish individuals who disrespected him and created a crisis in the PDP in Anambra State that compelled him to exit the party.
He also calls on the PDP leaders to get their acts together as time is not on their side.
