Nigerian music sensation Davido has publicly endorsed Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen as his greatest of all time (GOAT). This declaration seemingly snubs other top Nigerian footballers like Ademola Lookman and Victor Boniface.

Osimhen, a 35-cap Nigerian international, has been one of the country’s most outstanding footballers in recent years. He played a crucial role in Napoli’s Serie A title triumph and has been a key figure for the Super Eagles, scoring 21 goals to become Nigeria’s second all-time highest goal scorer.

Davido’s endorsement came in the form of a social media post, where he shared a picture of Osimhen with the simple caption “My GOAT.” This public show of admiration follows Galatasaray’s recent 1-0 victory, which maintained their lead at the top of the table. Although Osimhen did not score in the match, he posed a constant threat to the opposition’s defense, making a significant impact on the game.

Notably, Davido’s endorsement comes despite the impressive form of Lookman, who led Atalanta to the Europa League title, and Boniface, who played a pivotal role in Bayer Leverkusen’s historic Bundesliga triumph.

The close bond between Davido and Osimhen is believed to be a major factor in this public declaration. Osimhen recently attended Davido’s wedding reception, and the two have been spotted together at various events, strengthening their relationship.
