Enugu East community celebrates new transformer commissioning

The Onyoho Nike community in Enugu East Local Government Area erupted joyfully on Sunday, February 2, 2025, as the Executive Chairman, Engr. Pst. Beloved-Dan Obi Anike, commissioned a brand-new 500 KVA transformer. This milestone project is part of the administration’s efforts to ensure every community in the area has access to electricity.

The community’s excitement was palpable, with women, youths, and the elderly celebrating with chants and dances. Chief Uchenna Nnamani, the community’s President General, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Local Government’s first-ever project in their community.

Engr. Pst. Beloved-Dan Obi Anike’s commitment to rural electrification is truly impressive. Recently, he procured 12 new 500 KVA transformers for various communities, demonstrating his visionary leadership. Notable figures, including Hon. Osita Okoh, Engr. Agbo Pascal Ekene, Hon. Obumneme Obed Eke, and Hon. Prince Alex Ugwu, commended the Executive Chairman’s efforts.

The event, attended by many dignitaries, marks a significant step towards improving the lives of Onyoho Nike community members. As the community celebrates this achievement, they look forward to a brighter future with reliable access to electricity.
