Abuja, May 30, 2024 -The federal government will on Friday meet the organised labour for further negotiations on the minimum wage.

This is sequel to another invitation by the government, following a letter written to labour unions by the NSIWC chairman

“Of course, labour will attend. If they present a better offer on Friday, we will accept it,” a source said.

The  meeting adjourned indefinitely after talks between the federal government and labour broke down.

Labour had rejected the federal government’s latest offer of N60,000 and  insisted on N494,000 as the new minimum wage.
