Fire Hits Lagos Airport Terminal 2, FAAN Confirms

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed a fire incident at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, but says no one died or suffered injuries.

FAAN said its Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) moved quickly to the scene. Firefighters are working to contain the incident and prevent further damage.

FAAN announced the development on Sunday through its official X handle.

The authority assured passengers and the public that no casualty or loss of life had been recorded.

FAAN said it would release more information as the situation develops. The authority urged the public to await official updates while emergency teams continue their work.
