
A business aviation firm, Flybird Aircraft Management Services Ltd., has reiterated its commitment to global collaborations, with support as Nigeria prepares to host first Nigeria International Airshow (NIA), in Abuja.
Capt. Ahmed Borodo disclosed the firm’s support in a statement on Saturday in Lagos.
According to Borodo, the airshow which is scheduled to hold from December 2 to 4, is a milestone for Nigerias’s aviation sector and to commemorate 100 years of aviation in Nigeria.
Borodo said that as one of the key sponsors of the airshow, Flybird AMSL has recommited to advancing Nigeria’s aviation industry through innovation, operational excellence and strategic partnerships.
He said that Flybird AMSL’s participation underscored its role as a forward-thinking aviation brand committed to enhancing safety, efficiency and sustainable growth within the business-aviation ecosystem.
He said: “By supporting Nigeria’s first-ever international airshow, we are aligning with a bold vision to position Nigeria as a central hub for world-class aviation services in Africa.
“This event is a game-changer for our industry, offering a platform for global collaboration, investment and innovation,” he said.
He recalled that the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Mr Festus Keyamo, SAN, had said that the event would bridge connectivity gaps across Africa.
He quoted Keyamo as saying: “The show will also increase the synergy between financial institutions and the aviation industry towards contributing to the sustainable economy and overall environmental ambition.
“It will also achieve a more integrated aviation industry to accelerate the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),” Keyamo had said.
The airshow would bring together leading global aviation players, regulators, service providers, innovators. Exhibitions, live displays among others.
