Bible Society of Nigeria to honour Ajayi, Alakija, Ehigiamusoe

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) has concluded plans to honour three personalities with the award of Selfless Service to God and Humanity.

They are the Founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church, Rev Mother Esther Ajayi, the Group Managing Director, Rose of Sharon Group, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, and the pioneer Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Micro Support Services, Mrs. Elizabeth Ehigiamusoe.

The award, which is part of activities marking BSN’s 15th Founder’s Day Annual Lecture, will hold at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos on February 8, 2024.

The programme will be chaired by the Group Managing Director of Wetherheads Advertising Group, Pastor Abiodun Iderawumi.

The theme for this year is: “Security, Social Justice and Poverty Eradication: Clarion Demands on Governance in Nigeria” and the guest speaker is a veteran Journalist, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Corporate Biographers, Mr. Mike Awoyinfa.

Other dignitaries expected at the occasion are: The Patron of The Bible Society of Nigeria, Gen. Dr. Yakubu Gowon, GCFR, who is the Father of the Day; the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Glory Commodities Limited, Mr. Peter Chiori, who is the Special Guest of Honour; the Chairman of Apapa Local Government, Hon. Idowu Senbanjo as Guest of Honour, and other captains of industries.

The Bible Society of Nigeria is a not-for-profit interdenominational Christian organisation that translates the Bible into local languages, and publishes, distributes, and raises funds for the Bible work.

The group also organise life-transforming programmes to help people engage with the Word of God.

So far, the society have the complete Bible in 27 Nigerian Languages, while translation/revision is ongoing in nine different languages.
