Mr. Olamide Oladiji, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly confirmed the development on Tuesday.

He said the governor asked for a 21-day leave for medical treatment abroad, saying that it will span from 7 June to 6 July.

The Speaker said that the governor’s letter stated that his deputy, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, would act as acting governor for the period he will be away.
