
The Former Commissioner for Finance in Ebonyi state, Barr. Timothy Odaa who recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been urged to use his wealth of experience in the public sector to enhance the lots of the party in the state.
A Former Coordinator of Ukaba Development Centre of Onicha Local Government Area of the state, Hon John Elom gave the urge in Abakaliki while welcoming Odaa popularly known as ‘Due Respect” to the party.
Elom, who was also the Former Councilor of Isinkwo/ Ukawu ward of the LGA said that Odaa’s return to the party signified good tidings to strength in the LGA and the state.
“We value his long-standing efforts together with other committed Ukawu sons and daughters—in championing development in the community and council.
“Odaa has also shown commitment in ensuring that the voice of Ukawu is heard across Ebonyi state and beyond,”
Elom expressed heartfelt commendation to the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his visionary, leadership style which is “inspirational”.
“Odaa and others who joined the party before him were influenced by the governor’s people-oriented governance baked in excellence and magnanimty.
“Nwifuru has changed the story of Ebonyi in all faecets and made it a model among states of the federation,”
He also appreciated the State APC Chairman, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha, for his dedication, discipline, and outstanding leadership that has strengthened the party in the state.
“People who matter politically in Ebonyi are joining the APC and Emegha’s hard work and unifying spirit have been things happen.
“APC is the only party in Ebonyi now and Emegha’s sagacity in human and resource management have made things so.”
Elom also appreciated the Chairman of Onicha Local Government Area, Hon. Ikechukwu Ogbofia, for his support to the people of Ukawu and ensuring overall peace in the area.
“I urge him to continue remembering Ukawu community with the present unity that is permeating through the council.
“The stakeholders are now united under one roof and are determined to change the narrative of the community.”
