How miscreants set lawmaker’s house on fire

Anambra, Aug.8, 2023: Pandemonium engulfed the Ubahi-Mbosi in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state as unidentified miscreants invaded and set on fire the country home of a lawmaker.

The lawmaker, Paschal Agbodike, is representing Ihiala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Eyewitnesses said that the hoodlums on arrival started shooting sporadically at the property before setting it on fire.

DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police spokesman confirmed the incident, adding that surveillance efforts are in place in the area.

“The area has been condoned, and security operatives have been deployed in the area. There are ongoing surveillance efforts by the operatives.”

In his reaction, Agbodike said he was informed about the incident on the telephone because he is currently in Abuja performing his duty as a national legislator.
