The recent events unfolding in Lagos have left many in a state of bewilderment. In a shocking turn of events, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly was impeached by lawmakers from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

What’s even more surprising is that the impeachment was carried out by legislators from the same party as the Speaker.

To add another layer of complexity to this saga, APC thugs were allegedly involved in disrupting the peace.

However, in a swift response, the APC took action and arrested the thugs responsible for the disturbance.

This episode raises several questions about the internal dynamics of the APC and the implications of such actions on the state’s governance. The fact that the impeachment was carried out by lawmakers from the same party as the Speaker suggests deep-seated divisions within the APC.

As the situation continues to unfold, many are left wondering what this means for the future of Lagos State and the APC as a whole. One thing is certain, however – the people of Lagos deserve transparency and accountability from their leaders.

In the words of Governor Wike, Nigerians should hold the APC and its candidate responsible if there is a breakdown of law and order in the state. As the dust settles, one can only hope that the APC will take steps to address its internal issues and prioritize the welfare of the people.
