The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Lagos State has applauded the body’s National Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle’s commitment to sustaining Nigeria’s democracy and political parties.

The IPAC Chairperson, Mrs Temilola Akinade, commended Dantalle in an interview with newsmen on Friday in Lagos.

Akinade commended the national chairman for the launch of a book titled “100 Years of Political Parties Evolution in Nigeria, 1923 – 2023’’ by IPAC on Thursday in Abuja.

Akinade, the Lagos State Chairman of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), who joined other political party leaders to launch the book, said that the national chairman had demonstrated uncommon dedication to fostering democracy.

“IPAC in Lagos State wants to appreciate the national leadership of IPAC led by Alhaji Dantalle for standing out to promote our democracy.

“This launch of “100 Years of Political Parties Evolution in Nigeria, 1923 – 2023’ book is innovative and will go down in history.

“The book launching is the first of its kind in the history of IPAC and we must commend the IPAC national leadership.

“We want to charge the national chairman to continue in this way and manner,” the IPAC boss said

Akinade urged the national chairman to continue to carry state chairmen along in his vision and mission.

According to him, both the ruling and the opposition political parties must stop playing politics of hatred, ethnicity and religious bias.

“We must continue to embrace each other and our diversities in moving our dear country forward.

“It is good in democracy for the state governors to work with IPAC in their various states to enhance governance,” she said.

According to her, the book offers insightful analysis and practical solutions to Nigeria’s political challenges.

The theme of the event was “100 Years of Political Parties Evolution in Nigeria – The Imperative of Nigeria’s Political Stability: Issues and Solutions”.
