The induction and inauguration of Imo Women Elite Club (IWEC) with the launching of Imo Women Elite International Foundation [501(c)3] has been scheduled for April 22, 2023 in Atlanta, U.S.A.

The theme of event is “Every Woman Wins Global Health Initiative” – supporting women and girls navigate metal health problems.

The elite club had said that the unveiling of its International Foundation was aimed at tackling the mental health challenges of women and girls.

IWEC’s President, Mrs Nkemdi Onyirimba disclosed this in a press statement by the club’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs Evelyn Childs.

According to her, IWEC is a club for women who are from Imo State, the eastern part of Nigeria, married to Imo men or adopted by Imo indigenes who are resident in North America or in Imo.

Onyirimba said that there was need for the IWEC International Foundation to attend to the mental health of individuals, saying such was very important.

She said that there would be inauguration of the club and induction of new members on Saturday, April 22, 2023 by 8.00 P.M. (Eastern Time), at Jazzy J Banquet Hall 5134 Old National College Park, GA.

”The club was set up to among other things, support and encourage women professionals and personal development through education and training.

”It is to foster unity among Imo women both at home and in the diaspora, to initiate and organise self-help programmes and projects in North America and Imo State, as well as provide strong professional network among its members,” she said.
