Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has advised corps members who just concluded their orientation exercise, to leave enduring legacies which the host communities where they would be posted, will remember.

Fubara gave the advice on Tuesday during the closing ceremony of 2025 Batch C orientation course for Corps Members deployed to Rivers State at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai., Local Government Area of the state.

Fubara, represented by the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman NYSC State Governing Board, Dr. Benibo Anabraba, urged the corps members to be patriotic in rendering selfless services to the people.

“You should be assured of the people’s love and hospitality.

“The government will commence the immediate and comprehensive renovation of camp facilities to provide you with a more conducive environment for camping exercise.

“You are the elite youths and leaders of tomorrow.”

The State Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe described the 3-week camping exercise as hugely impactful, fruitful and rewarding in the lives of the corps members.

“The exercise has helped enrich their experiences and redirected their consciousness towards
nationalistic ideals and values.

“You should serve with respect, commitment, and integrity in your places of Primary Assignment across communities of the 23 LGAs of the state.

“We thank governor Fubara for approving the construction of a brand new 1,000 capacity hostel for male and female corps members each, to complement the 5,000 capacity camp auditorium which is present underutilised,”.
