Wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has said that Eid-el-Fitr embodies the values of love, sacrifice and tolerance, describing them as critical pillars for harmony and peaceful co-existence in society.

Soludo, Founder of Healthy Living initiative, made this known in a goodwill message on Thursday in Awka, while felicitating with Muslims in Anambra and across the country on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

She emphasised that the essence of Eid-el-Fitr goes beyond celebration, noting that it serves as a reminder of the enduring importance of compassion, unity and mutual respect among people of different backgrounds.

“Eid-el-Fitr reminds us that love, sacrifice and tolerance remain the greatest foundation of harmony and mutual co-existence,” she said.

Soludo urged the Muslim faithful to reflect these values in their daily interactions by spreading kindness and genuine happiness within their communities.

“As you celebrate, let love lead, let kindness and oneness define your actions. Let someone around you smile because of you,” she added.

She wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful and joyful Eid celebration, while calling for sustained unity and understanding among residents of the state and the nation at large.
