NMA recognises Soludo for championing public health advocacy

The Anambra branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has conferred a meritorious award on Dr Nonye Soludo for leading a healthy living revolution and advancing public health advocacy.

Dr Princeston Okam state Chairman, NMA, recognised the Wife of the Anambra state Governor during the 2025 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the association in Awka.

Okam while presenting the award said Soludo deserved the honour
for her tireless efforts and outstanding contributions to the growth of the health sector in Anambra.

“Dr Nonye Soludo, founder of the Healthy Living initiative has consistently used her voice and position to protect child rights, promote infant and maternal health and support women’s empowerment.

“Through her widely followed platforms, she is championing wellness, nutrition and transformative social insights, reaching thousands of people with practical solutions.

“She is worthy of the award of recognition,” he said.

The Anambra state Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, who received the award on behalf of the governor’s wife, said that such honour could only inspire the governor’s wife to keep using her crusade to touch more lives.

Obidike, who was a also one of the awardees, commended members of NMA in Anambra for recognising the efforts the governor’s wife.
