This is contained in a statement by Tony Nezianya, Public Relations Officer of NOC.

“This is a magnificent victory in the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final, held in Rabat, Morocco, on July 27, 2025.

”Your hard-fought 3-2 victory within regulation time was a thrilling spectacle of skill, resilience, and an unyielding desire to win.

”It captured the nation’s heart and reaffirmed your status as the undisputed queens of African football.

”It is a monumental achievement to lift this prestigious trophy for an unprecedented 10th time.”

The NOC added, “This remarkable feat is a testament to decades of dedication, sacrifice, and sustained excellence.

“Your triumph in Rabat embodies the core values of the Olympic spirit: excellence, friendship, and respect. You have brought immense pride and honour to our country, uniting us all in celebration.”

Gumel, however, said the Nigerian sporting fraternity salute every player, coach, and technical and backroom staff member for their incredible work.
