NOC wishes Oshonaike success as she contests on IOC Athletes Commission

The Nigeria Olympic (NOC) has wished Olufunke Oshonaike success as she seeks a position on the IOC Athletes Commission.

Mr Tony Nezianya, Public Relations Officer of the NOC in a statement said the election will be held during the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games, to be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

According to him, at the recent IOC Executive Board meeting, 32 athletes, including Nigerian table tennis player, Olufunke Oshonaike, were approved as candidates for the election to the IOC Athletes’ Commission during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

 Nezianya noted that Oshonaike has competed in numerous Olympic Games and the World Table Tennis Championships.

“Oshonaike is a member of the Nigeria Athletes Commission, the Olympians Association, and the Table Tennis Athletes Association,’’ he said.
