The Director, Media, NYSC National Directorate headquarters Abuja, Chief Emeka Mgbemena gave the advise on Tuesday at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai during an official visit to the camp.

Mgbemena urged the corps members to imbibe the nationalistic values of the NYSC scheme by promoting unity and integration among Nigerians in their activities.

“Unpatriotic actions of selfish, self-centered and unscrupulous Nigerians who preach and propagate division along ethnic, tribal and religious lines, should be condemned and avoided.

“Nigerians are one people with a common heritage and destiny.”

“You should take very seriously, the skill acquisition training in camp and post camp as skill is the new economic gateway for financial emancipation.”

The State Coordinator, NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe, informed the director that the corps Members represent a great hope for the nation due to their high level of discipline, commitment, dedication and patriotism.

“They have been outstanding and extraordinary in their performances since they arrived at camp,”
