The Peoples Club of Nigeria International (PCNI), Waco Branch, Texas, will induct esteemed educator and Igbo leader, Chief/Dr. Acho Orabuchi, and 10 others at its second induction ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026.
The event will bring together dignitaries, community leaders, professionals, families, friends and supporters from Texas and beyond.
PCNI said the ceremony will recognise people who show leadership, service, achievement and commitment to their communities.
Prominent among the inductees is Orabuchi, known as Iyi Ogberuru and Ebubedike Ezimba-Ogberuru. The club described him as an esteemed educator and Igbo leader in the Diaspora.
Similarly, PCNI will recognise its Waco Branch chairman, Prince Sir Iyke Ginigeme, for his leadership and efforts to support others.
The award will also honour his role in strengthening community and cultural ties among Nigerians in the Diaspora.
“We support each other financially when members are celebrating something, when they lose someone, and in networking in business,” Ginigeme said.
PCNI is a non-political, non-profit social organisation founded in Aba, Nigeria, in 1971 by Prince Titus Ike Ume-ezeoke and friends. The founders created the group to promote unity, love and mutual support after the Nigerian Civil War.
The club provides a relaxed setting where prominent and like-minded people can network, socialise and support community development.
In addition, the organisation supports destitute homes and other community welfare projects through its philanthropic activities.
