Prince Orekha receives JCI 10 Outstanding Young People’s Award

The Executive Director of Connected Advocacy for Empowerment and Youth Development Initiative, Prince Israel Orekha, has received the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ten Outstanding Young People’s Award.

Newsmen reports that Orekha, an Environmental Advocate and Crusader for Environmental Sustainability, received the award on International Youth Day at the Choice Gate Hotel and Suites in Benin City, Edo State.

In his acceptance speech, Prince Orekha emphasized the importance of environmental protection, citing it as the inspiration behind his work.

He expressed gratitude to the JCI community for recognizing his efforts, despite being someone who prefers to let his work speak for itself.

“I am humbled to receive this award, and I dedicate it to all the young people working tirelessly to make a difference in our communities,” Orekha said.

The event, themed “From Clicks to Progress, Youth Digital Pathway for Sustainable Development,” was chaired by Barr. Osasu Omoragbon, representing Barr. Osarodion Ogie, the Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming Edo State governorship election.

In his remarks, Omoragbon said that JCI demonstrated its commitment to empowering young individuals and promoting sustainable development.

“JCI efforts in recognizing outstanding young persons like Prince Orekha serve as a testament to its dedication to creating positive change.

“We are proud to recognize Prince Orekha’s outstanding contributions to environmental advocacy and sustainability.” – Barr. Osasu Omoragbon, Chairman of the event.

Sandra Efemuaye., National President, JCI, Warri, said that the Junior Chamber International (JCI) TOYP event was a resounding success, highlighting the impact of young individuals in driving positive change in Nigeria.

“As we move forward, it is essential to continue empowering young individuals to take action and create lasting change.

“The JCI TOYP event serves as a reminder that collective efforts can lead to a more sustainable future.

“We congratulate Prince Orekha on his well-deserved award and look forward to seeing the continued impact of his work.

“We also commend the JCI organizers for their commitment to recognizing and empowering young individuals.
