
Paris Saint-Germain reached the UEFA Champions League final after beating Bayern Munich and sealing an aggregate semifinal win.
PSG Strike Early in Munich
PSG arrived at Allianz Arena with a slim 5-4 lead from the first leg in Paris. However, Luis Enrique’s men stayed calm and controlled key moments of the match.
Ousmane Dembele scored after just three minutes. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made a brilliant run before setting him up, stunning the home crowd and pushing PSG further ahead on aggregate.
Bayern Push but PSG Hold Firm
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich pressed hard for most of the game. They attacked with urgency but failed to break PSG’s organised defence.
Harry Kane stayed quiet for long spells as PSG defenders kept him in check, he wasnt seen for the most part of the game. Furthermore, Bayern appealed for a penalty in the first half after Joao Neves handled the ball following Vitinha’s clearance, but the referee waved play on.
After the break, PSG created more chances. Desire Doue came close several times, but Manuel Neuer made key saves to keep Bayern in the contest.
Consequently, Bayern stayed alive until the closing moments as PSG searched for another goal.
In response, Harry Kane scored deep into stoppage time for his 55th goal of the season. However, Bayern still could not erase the aggregate deficit.
Vincent Kompany’s side crashed out of the competition, while the French champions moved one step closer to another European crown.
PSG will now meet Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final in Budapest on Saturday, 30 May, Arsenak fans in Nigeria are hoping that their team will push through to win the finals, ALL HANDS ON DECK.
