Renowned Nigerian constitutional lawyer is dead

Renowned Nigerian constitutional lawyer and former Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Professor Ben Nwabueze (SAN), has passed away.

The sad news was shared by Arinze NZELI, the President General of Atani town Union, revealing that the esteemed legal icon breathed his last in his Lagos residence around 4 pm on Sunday. According to NZELI, Professor Nwabueze had been unwell for a period leading up to his passing.

The Member representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Afam Ogene, also confirmed the incident via a text message, stating that the former Secretary General of Ohaneze Ndigbo passed away on Sunday.

Professor Ben Nwabueze was 92 years old at the time of his demise. He was born in 1931 and hailed from Atani, Anambra State.
