Saudi city, Riyadh, hosts 2024 CAF Super Cup Final

Cairo, Egypt – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, and Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), have named Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as host of the 2024 TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup Final.

The 2024 CAF Super Cup Final will feature the current winners of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, Al Ahly SC, and the current winners of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, Zamalek SC.

The match will be played on Friday, 27 September, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

CAF will announce the venue and kick-off time of the match in due course.

Speaking of the development, CAF President said: “The partnership between CAF and Saudi Arabia is based on the excellent relationship and mutual commitment of both parties.

He said “CAF is excited to work together and partner with the General Entertainment Authority. We look forward to the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup Final 2024 between two of the most popular and successful Clubs in Africa, namely Al Ahly and Zamalek.”

On his part, Turki Alalshikh, said: “We are delighted to host the African Super Cup at Riyadh Season, which represents one of the most important tournaments on the African continent.

“This event features two football giants from our sister country, the Arab Republic of Egypt: Al-Ahly and Zamalek. We all look forward to a competitive match that lives up to its promises.”

According to him, “The 2024 CAF Super Cup Final will be one of the most exciting and popular sporting events to be featured at Riyadh Season 2024.

“This is aligned with Riyadh Season’s success in attracting numerous major sporting events that have attracted significant international attention in recent years.
