Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state has expressed excitement over commitment of young people popularly called ‘Gen-Z’, to his government and second term bid.

Soludo who was represented by Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, expressed his excitement at the unveiling of digitalised office space and platform for mobilising votes for his reelection.

The digital space was created by the Geeks and Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS), a network of tech-savvy young professionals, in Awka.

He said creating support group and digital space for his re-election was clear demonstration of their love and passion for his administration.

The Governor urged them to ensure the space was secured and protected from hackers.

“There’s no doubt to our winning Nov. 8 election. We only want to prove that that there’s no vacancy in government house.

“We have 5,720 polling units and we want to win all of them. Our target is to win the election and continue with our good works for the people.

“We thank you for coming out to support our re-election without requesting for any support from the government. But do not allow the opposition to hijack it.

“What I have seen here today is very sophisticated and will be able to reach out to more people who will assist in shaping legacy of Soludo’s government.

“It shows that the youth will not only vote for Soludo but assist in getting people to feel the pulse of the government. We will see how we can integrate this platform into governance,” he said.

Convener of GEFAS, Mr Fred Agbata said the digital hub was created not just as a campaign tool but as symbol of their collective belief in Soludo’s tech-forward governance.

“This space is a reflection of our commitment to digital progress and what young innovators can achieve when united behind a visionary leader like Governor Soludo.

“His love for the youth and innovation is unmatched. This is a government built on technology — and we are building this to ensure he continues,” Agbata stated.

Also speaking, Special Adviser on Politics to the Governor, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu commended the initiative, describing it as a benchmark for youth-led political engagement.

“This isn’t just a support group, it’s a movement. If re-elected, Governor Soludo will take digital innovation in governance to the next level,” Obiogbolu assured.
