Soludo, Udezeh congratulate Obiano at 69 birthday

Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state, has congratulated his predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano, fondly known as “Akpokudike” on his 69th birthday.

Mr Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to the Governor in a statement on Thursday celebrated the former distinguished banker and politician who governed the state from 2014 to 2022.

Soludo commended Obiano for his exemplary leadership and passion for the progress of the state.

He also commended Obiano’s visionary initiatives and policies during his tenure, which significantly contributed to the growth and development of the state.

“I am happy to celebrate Obiano’s life and his enduring impact on the state, wishing him continued sound health, happiness, and fulfilment on this auspicious occasion of his 69th birthday anniversary

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has said that two former governors of the state, Obiano and Dr.Chris Ngige have made impressive marks in the development of the state during their tenures.

Felicitating Obiano as he marks his 69th birthday, in a goodwill message signed by Mr Emma Madu, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Udeze noted that in addition to achieving some signature projects, the Anambra International Airport and International Conference Centre, Obiano empowered a lot of Ndi Anambra and also improved the security situation of the state.

The Speaker maintaining that Obiano ran a purposeful administration, prayed God to continue to protect him and give him long life and good health.

In the same vein, Udeze described former Gov. Chris Ngige as an accomplished medical doctor, renowned public administrator and selfless politician whose tenure recorded an unprecedented development in road infrastructure, health care delivery, security as well as general welfare of the people among others.

The Speaker posited that Ngige did the state proud as Minister of Labour and Productivity by not soiling his hands, wished him longevity and good health.
