The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has filed a N100 billion fundamental rights enforcement suit against the Federal Government over his continued detention by the Department of State Services, (DSS).
A Federal High Court in Umuahia, Abia, on Wednesday, ordered the Federal Government to return Nnamdi Kanu to Kenya before his rendition on June 19, 2021.
The sleeping Eziama Afara-Ukwu Community in Umuahia, the home of Nnamdi Kanu, erupted in jubilation on Thursday, following the news of his acquittal by an Abuja Court of Appeal.
