The Collective Movement (TCM), a non-socio-political group, has called on the Federal Government, security agencies, and Kebbi State authorities to urgently provide a comprehensive, credible briefing detailing the operational efforts that led to the release of 24 kidnapped school girls.
As a non-partisan movement dedicated to national security and good governance, TCM insists that insecurity must never be trivialized or used as propaganda.
Our responsibilities include promoting good governance, reinforcing democratic principles, and advancing the welfare of the Nigerian people.
TCM demands to know the status of the kidnappers and measures being implemented to prevent future abductions.
We, therefore, stand firmly with the families of the girls and demand full transparency to ensure justice and safeguard Nigeria’s children from further harm.
While acknowledging the announcement of the release of the schoolgirls from Kebbi State, TCM expresses serious concerns about the lack of transparency surrounding the circumstances of their return.
To date, no clear information has been provided on how the girls were released, whether any kidnappers were arrested, if negotiations took place, or who facilitated the rescue effort.
TCM condemns the persistent pattern of silent releases without accountability or prosecution of perpetrators, which raises suspicions that insecurity is being politicized for gain.
The people of Nigeria deserve answers and reassurance that decisive actions are being taken to address the root causes of insecurity and protect all citizens from such heinous crimes.
