UCCIMA celebrates Gov Alex Otti on his 61 birthday

The Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (UCCIMA), has joined well-meaning Nigerians particularly Abians to celebrate Governor Alex Chioma Otti of Abia State on his 61 birthday.

UCCIMA, in a statement by its President, Dr Mrs Catherine Igbokwe, the group described the governor as a pragmatic, workaholic and well focused administrator.

“The Chamber is happy to associate with this Reformer, Courageous and Transformational Leader who within the short period of time, has changed the face of Abia’s Economy and has indeed made Abia a truly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) capital of Nigeria.

“Under your watch, Abia has become a destination point of investments and investors in Nigeria as businessmen and women troupe into the state to tap into the fountain of Vision, Infrastructural Renewal Programme, Fiscal Responsibility and Human Capital Development which you have escalated to the highest level of governance, national and international acceptability.

“Your Excellency Sir, the Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture celebrates with you because of the Pursuit of Excellence, Responsive Leadership and Public Trust your government has built in its 31-month of good governance,” the group said.

It added that since the governor’s assumption of office, Trade and Commerce in Abia has blossomed, moribund industries are being revitalized, the power sector, a key energizer to industrialization has witnessed an unprecedented revolution with Chambers in the cities of the state being assisted to host Trade Fairs annually; even as your Government continues to attract foreign participation in the Abia Economy.

“Sir, as you mark your New Year, we, in the Chamber wish you God’s protection, more fruitful and bountiful years ahead and pledge to work with you in the onerous task of developing our State Economy,” UCCIMA noted.
