The Lagos State Command and Control Centre (LSCCC) has intensified collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to enhance road safety and emergency response coordination.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mrs Yemisi Sule, Head, Public Affairs, LSCCC, on Wednesday in Lagos.
The statement said the LSCCC delegation, led by its General Manager, Mr. Femi Giwa, paid a courtesy visit to the FRSC Sector Commander in Lagos on Tuesday.
Giwa commended FRSC for professionalism and commitment to road safety enforcement, traffic regulation and crash response management across the state.
He said LSCCC, as the state’s central emergency coordination hub, remained committed to improving real-time incident monitoring and inter-agency communication.
Giwa highlighted ongoing technological initiatives, including the Local Emergency Response and Management System (LERMS I and II).
According to him, the system is designed to strengthen decentralised emergency reporting and enhance coordinated deployment.
The FRSC Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, appreciated the visit and stressed the importance of synergy among safety agencies.
Hamzat said improved collaboration would safeguard lives, protect property and boost public confidence in emergency service delivery.
The statement said that both agencies reaffirmed commitment to intelligence sharing, joint response strategies and traffic incident management.
They also resolved to integrate designated FRSC personnel into the LSCCC to improve monitoring and multi-agency emergency coordination.
