The 9th World Oil and Gas Exhibition (WOGE 2024) fostered collaborations and advanced knowledge sharing in the oil and gas sector.

Ogbedo said that the WOGE 2024 took place from November 7–9, 2024, at the Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Centre, China.
According to him, the event featured ZVECAN Oil and Gas Group as a key exhibitor and African Coordinator.
“Renowned as one of the largest and most enduring business events in China, WOGE 2024 attracted government and private enterprises from sectors such as oil and gas, power, chemicals, and mining.
“The 2024 exhibition provided a dynamic platform for showcasing innovations, technologies, and services through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and technical sessions,'” Ogbedo said.
He said that during the exhibition, ZVECAN group engaged with businesses from various sectors and hosted the African Business Investment Forum.
The event was graced by Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori, Chairman of the House Committee on NDCC, alongside other Senate and House members.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Morgan Uzoigwe Chuku, a representative of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority Nigeria, highlighted investment opportunities and incentives in Nigeria’s free zones.
His presentation attracted significant attention from foreign companies and emphasized Africa’s investment potential.
On November 9, the Xi’an Council for Promotion of International Trade held a closed-door meeting with ZVECAN Oil and Gas Group to commend their participation in WOGE 2024 and explored avenues for future collaboration.
“With 143 exhibitors worldwide, ZVECAN Oil and Gas Group played a pivotal role in coordinating African participation and establishing a major exhibition stand.
“The team engaged with notable companies such as Hebei Refining Technologies Co., Ltd., Xi’an Shiyou University Oil & Gas Technology Co., Ltd., and Yunnan Deji Enterprise Ltd., among others.
“These interactions led to cooperative agreements and contracts aimed at exploring future opportunities.
“ZVECAN also met with ambassadors from the Middle East and African nations, fostering partnerships and strengthening international collaborations,” Ogbedo said.
To maximize the event’s impact, Ogbedo said that ZVECAN Oil and Gas Group organized strategic discussions and factory tours in key locations across China:
“Shaanxi Province (Xi’an): Visits to Shaanxi Xite Cable Co., Ltd. and Brightway Energy Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. focused on partnerships in the power and oil drilling sectors.
“Yunnan Province (Kunming): A visit to Yunnan Deji Enterprise Ltd. explored opportunities in asphalt production.
“Zhejiang Province (Hangzhou): Attendance at the West Lake Forum on China-Africa Economy and Trade included discussions with Hangxiao Steel Structure, a major global steel supplier. Collaboration agreements were finalized during factory visits to LEAP Chem Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Timelec Electrical Co., Ltd.
“Shanghai City: Participation in the 16th Shanghai International Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE 2024) enabled networking with petrochemical industry leaders.
“Hebei Province (Cangzhou and Beijing): Meetings with Hebei Refining Technologies Co., Ltd. and the organizers of WOGE resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance future collaboration.
“The team concluded its visit by presenting its China expedition overview to the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing.”
Ogbedo remarked that the 9th World Oil and Gas Exhibition was a remarkable success, bringing together global industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders.
He stressed that the event fostered collaborations and advanced knowledge sharing in the oil and gas sector.
