The highly anticipated Women’s Champions League quarterfinals draw has been announced, featuring several thrilling matchups. Chelsea will face off against Manchester City in an all-English quarterfinal, while reigning champions Barcelona will take on Wolfsburg in a rematch of the 2023 final.

Chelsea, currently leading the Women’s Super League, narrowly edged out Manchester City for the English title last season on goal difference. The London-based team is now poised to claim its sixth consecutive top-flight crown.

Meanwhile, Barcelona is seeking its fourth European title in five seasons. The Spanish giants previously defeated Wolfsburg in the 2023 final, coming back from a two-goal deficit.

In other quarterfinal matchups, Arsenal will face Real Madrid, and last season’s runners-up Lyon will meet Bayern Munich. Notably, Lyon is the record eight-time winner of the competition and was one of only two teams to advance from the group stage with maximum points, alongside Chelsea.

The quarterfinals are scheduled to take place on March 18-19, with the return fixtures set for a week later. The winners of the Chelsea-Manchester City tie will face either Barcelona or Wolfsburg in the semifinals in April. The 2024-25 Women’s Champions League final will be held at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon on May 24.
