
The Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to host its Annual General Conference and Public Lecture.
A statement by Emmanuel Enebeli, General Secretary, NIPR, Delta State Chapter, the conference will be bringing together key stakeholders to discuss sustainable housing development in Delta State.
Enebeli said that the conference theme is “Environmental Stewardship for Sustainable Housing Development in Delta State.”
According to him, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, mni, Delta State Head of Service, will be the Guest Speaker.
He said that Bayoko, a seasoned technocrat, would share insights on fostering innovative housing strategies while maintaining environmental responsibility.
Enebeli said that the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, would attend as Special Guest of Honour, reinforcing the government’s commitment to sustainable urban growth.
He noted that the event, scheduled to take place at the Multipurpose Hall, Maryam Babangida Leisure Park, Asaba, would convene policymakers, industry professionals, security agencies, traditional rulers, academics, students and the media.
The generl secretary said that a panel of experts would also share global best practices on integrating environmental stewardship into Delta State’s housing framework.
“Discussions will align with the M.O.R.E Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on affordable and sustainable housing, aiming to shape future policies in urban planning and environmental management,” Enebeli said.
He quoted the the Delta NIPR Chairman, Mr. Godfrey C. Osakwe as saying:
“The lecture will generate actionable solutions for improving housing policies while safeguarding the environment.
“The event is expected to foster collaboration among stakeholders to create a more sustainable and liveable Delta State.
