The Ikere Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (IkereCCIMA) has been admitted as a member of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), with its Pioneer President and Nigeria’s Ambassador-Designate to Japan, Amb. Oluwayimika Ayotunwa Olumilua, describing the development as a historic milestone and validation of the chamber’s vision.
The admission was conveyed in a letter dated September 22, 2026, signed by NACCIMA’s Director General, Olusola Obadimu, following the fulfilment of the required conditions and approval by the NACCIMA Council at its meeting in Nsukka, Enugu State, on September 17, 2026.
The membership provides IkereCCIMA with representation at NACCIMA Council meetings, participation in policy consultations and access to business and economic information, as well as opportunities to connect with local and foreign investors.
In a congratulatory, Nigeria Ambassador to Japan, Ambassador Oluwayimika Olumilua said the achievement was a validation of the hard work and commitment of the pioneer executive council, Board of Trustees and founding members, recalling that the chamber was established to give Ikere businesses a credible voice and create opportunities for traders, farmers, artisans, women and youth entrepreneurs.
He expressed confidence that IkereCCIMA under the leadership of Prince Ade Ajayi would bring the values of hard work, integrity, excellence and innovation to the national platform and use its NACCIMA membership to attract investments, partnerships and opportunities for local businesses.
He also pledged to facilitate linkages between IkereCCIMA, Ekiti businesses and Japanese investors and development agencies, including JETRO and JICA, as well as promote participation in international trade exhibitions in Japan.
NACCIMA urged the chamber to actively participate in its programmes and activities, while Olumilua described the development as “from Ikere to the world” and congratulated members and stakeholders on the achievement.
