The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has urged corps members deployed to Rivers state to recreate the future themselves by acquiring entreprenehral skills.
The State Coordinator of the NYSC in Rivers, Mr Moses Oleghe gave the charge to the 2026 Batch B Stream II Corps Members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Nonwa-Gbam, Tai Local Governent Area (LGA).
Oleghe who gave the charge
during the flag off of SAED in-camp programme for the corps members, emphasised that skill acquisition by corps members is the “new normal” for the scheme.
“This must be embraced wholeheartedly in order to ensure a gainful and sustainable life ahead.
“I charge the corps members to be an “integral part of the SAED journey” by taking ownership of it and rewriting the story of their life.
“You are assured of the guidance and support of staff trainers including all critical institutions collaborating with the NYSC scheme in powering the skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development program,”.
The Assistant Director, SAED, Mrs Carol Chukwu enjoined the corps members to make a difference in their lives by taking the in-camp training very seriously.
Chukwu assured them that highly competent trainers with impeccable integrity, credibility and experience have been assembled to impact them positively with required skills.
