Draw for 2024/25 CAF Interclub season scheduled for Thursday

Cairo, Egypt – The Draw for the 2024/25 Interclub football season, organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), comes up on Thursday, 11 July, at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

The draw of the Preliminary Stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup officially marks the start of what promises to be another exciting season of premium African club football.

For the Champions League, a total of 59 clubs will be engaged from 47 African countries, while the CAF Confederation Cup will feature 52 clubs representing 41 countries.

The two men’s competitions remain two of the most sought-after club competitions in African club football.

They continue to grow from strength to strength, enjoying record global Television audiences, thanks to the ever-growing standard of African football.

In the previous season, reigning champions, Al Ahly SC of Egypt, extended their Champions League titles to a record 12 victories, while their arch-rivals, Zamalek, were crowned champions of the Confederation Cup for the second time.

The official draw procedures, match dates and other competition information will be communicated by CAF in due course.
