The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has approved the immediate transfer of some officers out of the Nigeria Police Force, Edo State Command, as part of an ongoing administrative reorganisation within the force.

The directive, issued from the office of the Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration, Edo State Police Command Headquarters, Benin City, stated that the redeployment followed approval by the Inspector-General of Police.

According to the document, the transfer was in line with an earlier police communication referenced CH: 5360/FS/FHQ/ABJ/VOL.42/185 dated May 3, 2026.

The memo was addressed to Deputy Commissioners of Police in charge of Operations and the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Area Commanders across the state, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, X-Squad, Divisional Police Officers, and all departmental heads within the command.

“The Inspector-General of Police has approved the transfer of the under listed officers out of Edo State Command as indicated against their names,” the document read.

It further directed the affected officers to proceed to their new commands with immediate effect.

The signal was signed by DCP Grace Enobong Longe on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command.
